Cadence Learn · Your AI Playbook

The talk, turned into steps you can actually do.

Every example from the session — the prompts, the setups, the missions — laid out to copy, paste, and run. Start with one tonight. No tech background needed: if you can text, you're qualified.

Part 1 · Start here

Three to try tonight

Open a free AI app — ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — and paste one of these. That's the entire first step. Pick one; it takes five minutes. Swap anything in [brackets] for your own details.

i Get this week's posts

The fastest "wow." You'll have shareable captions before you finish reading them.

Paste thisYou're my social media manager. Write 3 Instagram captions for my [service] this week, warm and confident, with a clear call to book.

ii Price a new service

Turn a fuzzy "what should I charge" into a clear, confident menu line.

Paste thisAct as a salon business coach. Help me price a [service] in [your city]. Ask me 3 questions first, then suggest good-better-best.

iii Win back a quiet client

The one that pays for itself today. Send it to five people tonight.

Paste thisWrite a warm, no-pressure text to a client I haven't seen in a few months. Friendly, short, mentions I'd love to see them again.
Make it sound like you. AI gives you a first draft, not a final post. Paste in a few of your real captions and say "match this voice," then spend 30 seconds editing. That's the difference between sounding like you and sounding like a robot.
Part 2 · The skill

The recipe behind every good prompt

Teach yourself to fish. Every prompt that works has the same five ingredients. Learn this shape and you'll never need a script again.

① Role

Who it should be.
"You're my salon's marketing assistant."

② Goal

What you want.
"Fill my open chairs next week."

③ Context

Your details.
"I do color & extensions, warm & confident voice, in Tampa."

④ Limits

The guardrails.
"Texts under 3 sentences, no emojis, never share client names."

⑤ Check

Make it confirm.
"Ask me 3 questions first, and show me before you send."

Part 3 · Build your own

Prompt builder

Fill in the five ingredients and watch your prompt assemble below. Edit the boxes, then copy the result straight into ChatGPT or Claude.

Your prompt
Part 4 · Level up

Connect your calendar — once, ~10 minutes

The free chat does everything in Part 1. The leap from drafts to does — finding your real gaps, booking, sending — happens when you connect a calendar. That needs a paid plan (~$20/mo). Pick your tool:

Claude + Google Calendar

  1. Go to claude.ai and sign in.Connecting tools needs Claude Pro (~$20/mo). The free tier still drafts.
  2. Click your name → Settings → Connectors.
  3. Find Google Calendar → Connect → sign in with Google → Approve.Connect Gmail too, so it can send — not just draft.
  4. New chat → ask: "What's on my calendar Thursday?"If it answers from your real week — you've got an agent.
Same idea in Claude Cowork — connect Calendar, then hand it a goal and let it work.
Part 5 · A real run, start to finish

"Fill next week's empty chairs."

Once your calendar's connected, this is the very first real task to run. Paste step 1, answer its questions, then give it the go-ahead.

Step 1 · you paste

Paste thisLook at my Google Calendar for next week. Find every open afternoon slot, Tue–Sat, 1–6pm. Then draft warm, casual texts — under 3 sentences — offering those exact times to clients I haven't seen in 90+ days. Ask me anything first.
  1. It checks your real calendar, then repliesIt'll ask clarifying questions — your booking link, tone, which clients.
  2. You answer & approvee.g. "Color & highlights. Link: yoursite.com/book — send the top 3 now."
  3. It executes✓ Sends the personalized texts · ✓ holds those slots tentatively · ✓ sets a follow-up reminder.
That's a complete agent task — it checked real information, made a plan, asked permission, then acted. A plain chatbot can only talk; an agent goes and does the work.
Part 6 · Missions

Put your connected calendar to work

Run these once your calendar's connected. The first three fill your chair; the next three grow the business while you're in it.

Fill the calendar

i · Find & fill the gaps

The flagship — turns empty afternoons into booked clients.

Paste thisFind every open slot in my calendar next week and draft texts offering them to clients I haven't seen in 90+ days.

ii · Rebook the overdue

Your retention safety net, on autopilot.

Paste thisList clients I last saw 6+ weeks ago and write each a personal rebooking text in my voice.

iii · Morning brief

A 6am text from your own front desk.

Paste thisEach morning, summarize today's appointments, my open gaps, and who I could upsell — in 5 lines.

Market, sell & retain

iv · A month of content

From a photo dump to a posting calendar.

Paste thisHere are 8 photos. Write a 4-week IG calendar — 3 posts a week — captions in my warm, confident voice.

v · Answer every review

Local trust, built in five minutes.

Paste thisWrite warm, on-brand replies to these 10 reviews, and 3 Google Business posts about my new service.

vi · Win back the quiet ones

The fastest money on the table.

Paste thisDraft a kind, no-pressure win-back text with a small spring offer for clients I haven't seen since March.
Part 7 · The prompt library

12 more to steal

Open a chat. Paste. Repeat. Each is a starting point — add your own details and edit the result.

Part 8 · Reference

The four plays

The big-picture map of where AI quietly makes you money. Good training teaches the strategy behind each — AI just helps you act on it faster.

📣 Marketing

Fill your chair without living on your phone.

  • A month of posts in 10 minutes
  • One photo → every platform
  • Show up first on Google (posts + review replies)

🎬 Content

Never stare at a blank screen.

  • Hooks that stop the scroll + a shot list
  • One video → a week of clips
  • A monthly newsletter people open

💰 Sales

Earn more per client, never pushy.

  • A good-better-best menu that sells for you
  • Win back clients you haven't seen in 90 days
  • Gift cards & seasonal offers

💌 Reach-out

Stay in touch like you have a front desk.

  • Answer DMs around the clock
  • Rebooking & birthdays on autopilot
  • Turn happy clients into reviews & referrals
Once these become second nature in a free chat, the natural next step is letting them run on their own — always-on booking, DMs, and follow-ups. That's what connecting your calendar (Part 4) and scheduled tasks start to unlock.
Part 9 · Guardrails

Four rules — so it always helps, never bites

1 · Start read-only

Begin with "just tell me what you'd do" before you let it send anything.

2 · You're the editor

Always review before it sends. The agent drafts; you approve. Every time.

3 · Guard your clients

Keep names, numbers and health notes out of public chats. "A long-time client" is enough.

4 · One task per chat

A fresh chat per job = sharper results and fewer mix-ups.

Privacy, simply: public AI apps are for drafting, not for your client list. "Write a birthday text for a long-time client" works without ever naming them.
Part 10 · Cheat-sheet

Which tool, and is free enough?

All three are excellent and you "program" them just by typing in plain English. Start free; you only need a paid plan (~$20/mo) when you want it to connect to your calendar and act on its own.

Claude claude.ai

  • Free: drafting, writing, planning
  • Pro ~$20/mo: Connectors (Calendar, Gmail), Cowork
  • Great writing voice & long instructions

ChatGPT chatgpt.com

  • Free: drafting, images, brainstorming
  • Plus ~$20/mo: Connectors + scheduled Tasks
  • "Tasks" can run on a schedule (e.g. Mondays 7am)

Gemini gemini.google.com

  • Free: drafting, research
  • Tight Google Workspace fit (Calendar, Gmail, Docs)
  • Worth a look if you live in Google already
Don't overthink it. Pick one, do the three prompts in Part 1 tonight. The tool matters far less than starting.
Part 11 · The honest questions

The ones you're already thinking

Won't it sound fake — not like me?
Only if you let it. AI gives you a first draft, not a final post. Feed it a few of your real captions so it learns your voice, spend thirty seconds editing — and nobody can tell. The folks it sounds fake for are the ones who paste and run.
Is this going to replace stylists?
No. Nobody's getting their color done by a robot. AI can't build trust at your chair, read a face, or make someone feel beautiful. What it replaces isn't you — it's the unpaid second shift: the admin that steals your evenings.
What about my clients' privacy?
Good instinct. Simple rule — don't paste private details (names, numbers, health notes) into a public AI app. And you don't need to: "Write a birthday text for a long-time client" works without ever naming them. Public chatbots are for drafting, not for your client list.
Do I need to be techy, or pay a lot?
Neither. If you can text, you can do this. The main tools have free versions that cover everything in Parts 1–3, and you "program" them just by typing in plain English. You only pay (~$20/mo) when you want it connected to your calendar to act on its own.
Where do I literally start?
Tonight: open a free AI chat and paste one prompt from Part 1. That's it — you're using AI. Tomorrow: try the recipe in Part 2. When you're ready, connect your calendar (Part 4) and run "fill next week's empty chairs" (Part 5).
